We are in the process of transforming our private network to a public shared system that will enable customers to buy our reports via a daily subscription service.  We have recently been granted exclusive licensing of this technology for the United States. Unlike any other fish catch reporting system in the world, our licensing agreement allows us to aggregate the demand for fish catch reports from subscribers into a single “bounty” specified by location, and to pay reporters from that bounty whose fish catch reports meet the criteria of the subscriber.  In more simple terms, to the customer (i.e., the subscriber) it means we can provide you the most accurate and timely location based fish catch reports possible.  For a fish catch reporter, it means we can pay you quickly for providing fish catch reports.

We have opened up certain areas of the country for individual ownership of territories that will be operated as small businesses on behalf of the Fish Dispatch service.  These new owners will share in the transaction revenue of their region as well as the ability to share in the equity growth of the company.

As a territory owner, in addition to the transactional revenue from operations in your region, you will also have the ability to sell your territory at a profit.  Since you own it, you can grow it, and you can sell it.  We want you to make a profit, because when you do, we know you have grown Fish Dispatch for all of us.

To meet the demand that the public customer is requiring in these new locations, we are recruiting anglers of integrity to build out our “trusted trees” of reporters.  We have three levels of reporters:
  • Novice
  • Expert
  • Professional
As a novice reporter, you don’t make much. Sorry, but you do have the chance to build your reputation and your ranking (based on a 5 star system).  As your ranking improves based on your fish catch reports, you will begin to receive a larger share of the bounty money offered by subscribers seeking your reports.  You will also be able to move up the rank to an Expert.  In reality, your reports can be just as good as that provided by a Professional.  In many cases, you will be using the exact same smartphone technology as our Experts and Professionals.  The picture you provide, GPS stamp, time stamp, your technique, and your description may be just as good and valuable as that provided by an Expert.  If you happen to be the only one reporting in a high demand area, you can rest assured that your territory moderator will take care of you and likely notch up your level to earn you more money for your reports.  Simply by the sake of being the only person to respond to tasking, you will earn a much larger share of a subscription bounty.

We also use the Novice level to build the resumes of young youth anglers, who, by the time they are 18, will have a solid fishing resume and a fast track to the Expert or Professional rankings.

An Expert reporter in our system is one who is truly recognized as an expert in your region via tournament rankings, publications, forum reporting, and/or other leadership roles in the fishing community.  If you’ve plied your waters for 20+ years, can document those experiences, then you’re probably already and expert in your region.  If you know exactly where, what, and how to catch (notice we don’t say “fish” here) in your region successfully, then you are probably a Fish Dispatch Expert (FDE).  As an FDE, you need to be able to respond to the rest of us novices who are paying you for that timely, location-based information.
