The "Fish Dispatch Battlespace"
Some in the industry call this "Situational Awareness". At Fish Dispatch, we use the term "Battlespace" to provide our angler customers everything they need to know about the live fish catches in their region. We have several methods that provide the Fish Dispatch Battlespace to you:
Using our viewers, you can watch the live reports appear on your viewers. We also provide the ability for you monitor these reports overlaid with the location of participating anglers.

using the Fish Dispatch Battlespace
Using a free download of the popular geospatial tool Google Earth, we provide network links to your live fish catch reports of your region. As fish catch reports are dispatched, they show up live on the Battlespace. You can install Google Earth on your own computer and be up an running in minutes, or purchase one of our tailored integrated large screen monitor units suitable for display in your own command center (i.e., tackle shop, marina, etc.) This Battlespace is catered for creating the "buzz" of all that is happening with regards to fishing in your region.
We also offer the Fish Dispatch Battlespace as part of our tournament services. In addition to splashing the live reports on the globe, you can also monitor all the boats movements live on our maps. The ability to track the boats is performed via voluntary tracking settings enabled in the Fish Dispatch smartphone app. You can also use the tracking to simply network your whereabouts on the water with friends.

The snap to the left provides a view of the live tracking provided by the Fish Dispatch Battlespace. In this example, a team of boats was able to make their locations known to those dockside and to those watching from the comfort of their homes as the tournament transpired. The battlespace was also used by participants to coordinate their efforts as a team.
In this particular case, with money on the line for the tournament winners, officials were also able to monitor the whereabouts of the boats for rules compliance. The tournament shown had restrictions on the extent for which boats could fish (e.g., Potomac River only, not allowed into the Chesapeake Bay).

Fish Dispatch Smartphone App
Our Fish Dispatch Smartphone app provides a convenient method for you to monitor the "Battlespace" on the go. You can mount your smartphone in the console of your boat or car and watch the reports as they come in on the map. The viewer also allows you to filter the reports that are displayed on the map by species and date.
You have the ability to select reports right from the map and learn all the details of the catch that include the precise technique used (e.g., gear, water depth, bait, trolling speed, etc.). You can use the app to then help you navigate right to that location (future enhancement). See the Smartphone app page for more screen shots.

Fish Dispatch Website Viewer
The Fish Dispatch website viewer provides you a convenient look at your private battlespace via a standard browser accessed via your PC or smartphone. As part of our crowd funding campaign, we will be updating our web tier to make the private pages available for public use and also enhance the filtering capabilities similar to those currently available on our smartphone app.
